There are two views of your opportunities. Both show the same records, and both open an
opportunity's record in a panel when you click it. See
[The opportunity record](https://help.clockworkcrm.com/sales/opportunities#the-opportunity-record).

## The board

**Sales → Sales & Opportunities Board** shows one pipeline at a time, with a column for each of its
stages.

![The opportunities board: one column per stage, with cards and a total under each column](https://clockworkcrm.blob.core.windows.net/public-internal/docs/sales/sales-board.png?v=6369e4c4)

The toolbar holds:

| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Order By** | Sorts the cards in each column by **Value**, **Estimated Close Date**, **Importance** or **Likelihood**, or by one of the pipeline's properties. It starts on **Value** |
| **Direction** | **Ascending** or **Descending**. It starts on **Ascending** |
| **Pipeline** | The pipeline shown. The board remembers the last one you chose |
| **Search for an opportunity** | Shows only cards whose name contains the text |
| **Additional Filters** | Opens the filters panel. See [Filters](https://help.clockworkcrm.com/sales/board-and-list#filters) |

### Columns

Each column header shows the stage's name and the number of opportunities in it. The **+** in the
header opens **Add Opportunity** with the pipeline and stage already chosen.

The foot of each column shows the total value of its opportunities:

- **Total:** for **Open** and your own stages, counting the opportunities the filters show
- **Total to date:** for **Won** and **Lost**, counting every opportunity in the stage, whatever the
  filters

**Won** and **Lost** cards are hidden until you turn on **Show Won/Lost Opportunities** in the
filters. While they are hidden, those columns show a card explaining how to show them. Clicking
the card opens the filters.

### Cards

Each card shows:

| Item | What it is |
|---|---|
| Tags | The opportunity's tags, above its name |
| Name and value | The opportunity's name and estimated value. Click either to open the record |
| Stars | The importance. Click a star to change it |
| Owner | The sale owner's picture. Point at it to see their name |
| Date | The estimated close date. Point at it to see how many days are left, or how many days ago it was due |
| Pictures | The people and companies on the opportunity. Point at one to see its name |

The icons along the foot of a card are:

| Icon | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Edit** (pencil) | Opens the record |
| **Delete** (bin) | Deletes the opportunity, after you confirm |
| **Add tag** | Adds a tag, or creates one with **New Tag** |
| **Copy opportunity** | Copies the opportunity, after you confirm. See [Copying and deleting](https://help.clockworkcrm.com/sales/opportunities#copying-and-deleting) |
| **Likelihood** | The likelihood of conversion, as a percentage. Click it to open **Opportunity Likelihood** and drag the slider to change it. The new value is saved when the slider closes |
| **Comments** | The number of comments. It pulses when there are comments you have not seen. Click it to open the record |
| **Files** | The number of files. Click it to open the record |

Double-clicking a card also opens the record.

### Moving cards between stages

Drag a card to another column to move the opportunity to that stage.

- If any stage between the old column and the new one has properties, the **Move Stage** form opens.
Fill in the required properties and select **Save**. Closing the form without saving puts the card
  back.
- Dropping a card on **Won** or **Lost** sets the close date to today and then asks for
**Closing Notes**. Enter any notes and select **Save**.

To move an opportunity to another pipeline, use **Move** on its record or in the list.

## The list

**Sales → Sales & Opportunities List** shows opportunities as rows, newest first.
