The sales dashboard

Sales → Dashboard opens the Opportunity Dashboard, a report on your opportunities.

The opportunity dashboard: four totals across the top, with the pipeline funnel and sales trend below

Two boxes at the top filter the whole dashboard:

Filter What it does
Pipeline All Pipelines, or one pipeline. It starts on the last pipeline you chose on the board, list or dashboard
Sale Owners Limits the dashboard to opportunities owned by the chosen users. With nobody chosen, it covers every owner

The dashboard only counts opportunities you can see. See Permissions.

The dashboard updates when an opportunity is added, moved or changed. Point at an amount to see the exact figure.

Totals

Figure What it shows
Total pipeline value The total estimated value of the open opportunities: everything not won or lost
All time Revenue The total value of every won opportunity
Total deals in pipeline The number of opportunities, whatever their stage
All time conversion rate Won opportunities as a percentage of all won and lost opportunities, with the number Won and the number Lost

Pipeline Funnel

A funnel with a band for each stage of the pipeline, in stage order and in the stage's colour. Each band shows the stage name and the total value of the open opportunities in it.

The funnel needs a single pipeline with stages. While All Pipelines is chosen, or the pipeline has no stages, it shows a message instead.

Sales Trend with Forecast

A line chart of the value of won opportunities in each month, by the month they closed. It runs from the first month with a won opportunity up to this month. A dashed line runs on to next month's predicted won value, taken from Predicted Performance.

The chart opens on the most recent months. Drag the slider under the chart, or scroll on it, to change the range. The icons at the top right of the chart zoom in on an area, restore the full view and save the chart as an image.

Monthly figures

Figure What it shows
Total figures this year The value won and lost this year, by close date
Total figures this month The value won and lost this month, by close date
Total figures last month The value won and lost last month, by close date
Predicted Performance A prediction for next month. Open opportunities with an estimated close date next month count as Won when their likelihood is 65% or more, and as Lost when it is lower

The month and prediction figures show a percentage change against the month before. For Won, a rise is shown as good and a fall as bad. For Lost, it is the other way round.

Opportunity tables

Three tables list open opportunities. Each appears only when it has something to show. Click a row to open the opportunity.

Table What it lists
Top 10 Most Valuable Open Sales The ten open opportunities with the highest estimated value
Top 10 Most Likely to close The ten open opportunities with the highest likelihood
Lapsed sales Open opportunities that have no estimated close date, whose estimated close date has passed, or that have not been changed for over a month. Point at a row to see which applies

Each row shows the opportunity's pipeline, stage, name, estimated value and likelihood.

Sales → Advanced Search opens Advanced Opportunity Search. It finds opportunities across every pipeline and exports the results for reporting.

The advanced opportunity search: filters, visible columns and sorting across the top, results below

It works in the same way as the contact searches: Filters control which opportunities come back, Show controls the visible columns, and Sort controls the order. See Searching contacts for how to build filters and save them. The result count sits on the right.

These fields can be used as filters:

Field What it matches
Name and Description Text
Importance A number of stars
Likelihood A percentage
Pipeline and Stage One of your pipelines or stages
Company and Person A linked company or person
Recurrence Type None, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annually or Annually
Sale Owner and Created By A user
Created Date, Start Date, End Date, Estimated Close Date, Close Date and Last Modified Date A date. Start Date and End Date are the recurrence dates
Value The estimated value
Tag A tag

The columns you can show are Id, Name, Description, Importance, Likelihood, Pipeline, Stage, Recurrence Type, Sale Owner, Created By, Start Date, End Date, Estimated Close Date, Close Date, Value, Linked Companies, Linked People, Created Date, Last Modified Date and Tags.

Every opportunity custom property is also available as a filter and a column.

Double-click a result to open the opportunity. Right-click a result and choose Edit to do the same.

Exporting

Export As exports the current results as Excel (.xlsx) or CSV, with the columns you are showing. When the export is ready it is in the Documents tab of your profile. See Your profile.
